Profile
After
working in the arts and entertainment industry, I (Tom van Bodegraven) completed
an intensive Web Design - Graphic Design course at WCP - Wairarapa, New Zealand.
I have studied Human Factors Psychology and have conducted 1-on-1 Task-orientated User Tests.
I am especially interested in the human factors of usability, such as the mechanics of vision and the idiosyncrasies of human memory.
This quote by Alan Cooper is one of the most important things I've read as a usability consultant. It basically says we must strive to reduce the interface to its simplest form, leveraging patterns to elicit correct input from the user while requiring minimal conscious thought.
